Mowing cost is determined by the size of your yard and the amount of obstacles. Each quote is unique. Our minimum mowing cost is $50 and goes up from there.
4. Do you offer free estimates and quotes for work?
Yes we do offer free estimates.
5. How often should I schedule lawn care services?
We do either weekly or bi-weekly cutting. Some yards in Connecticut need to be cut weekly or they get out of control and difficult to cut. We will determine if your yard needs to be cut weekly or bi-weekly.
6. How do I contact you?
You can contact the owner directly by sending an email to careformygrass@gmail.com or by calling or texting 203-908-1987.
7. How can I repair my dead lawn?
Core aeration and over seeding done in combination in the fall is the best way to repair your grass. This needs to be coordinated by us with your weed control company so if you think you want to repair your grass, let us know as soon as possible so we can start preparing the necessary steps. Sod is another great option that can be done at any time of the year.
8. Do I need to be home for you to provide service?
No you do not need to be home. We don’t ever need to get inside the house for any reason. Payment is done electronically and billed after the service is performed in most instances.
9. Can I pick the height that you cut my grass?
We have been cutting grass for a long time in Connecticut. If you prefer a shorter or longer grass, please let us know. We won’t cut at a height that we think will damage the lawn. Weather has a lot to do with our cut height. In the summer we leave it higher or it will get burnt out.
10. If I let my lawn get really over grown can I hire you for a one time cut?
No, we don’t do one time cuts. If you would like sign up for a continued service, we may be able to cut it.
11. Do I get to pick my day for mowing?
We try to keep people on a consistent mowing schedule. There are times when the weather affects our mowing routes and we need to move days around. There are no guaranteed days.
12. Does weekly mowing mean every 7 days and does bi-weekly mean every 14?
No. Weekly mowing is not guaranteed to be every 7 days or more. If we see a rainstorm coming we may decide to cut your house earlier than 7 days or later than 7 days.
13. How can I improve my yard’s curb appeal
We can enhance your property with landscape design, new plantings, mulching, and hardscaping elements like pathways and lighting. Let us design a space that boosts your curb appeal!
14. Do you offer fertilization and pest control services?
No. In Connecticut fertilization and pest control requires a special license and is commonly handled by separate companies that specialize and focus just on that.
15. What time of year can I plant new grass seed?
In Connecticut, August through October are the best months. Grass should never be planted in the summer as it will burn out. It can be planted in the spring, but requires a careful touch and irrigation.
16. What payments do you accept? Do I need to pay you when you visit?
We send a bill to your email after each service and you have 30 days to pay it. Sometimes we offer cash discounts. If we offer a cash discount, cash should be given directly to David, the owner, and not anyone else.
17. Do you offer warranties or guarantees on your hardscape or drainage work?
Yes we do guarantee our work. For larger projects, we will have a written agreement that is signed before we start. That agreement will cover the warranty period and other details.
18. How do I know that you are going to do a good job? What if I am unhappy?
We pride ourselves on our communication and quality work. The owner, David, is present and oversees all the jobs. If something is wrong, he will be the first to know and the first to fix it. If you are unhappy about something, just let us know so we can fix it.
